Compare The Directv Nfl Sunday Ticket To Dish Network Nfl Network Red Zone

As A new subscriber of DirecTV I was very excited for the NFL Football Season to begin and begin my Nfl Sunday Ticket. I have the opportunity to watch every football game available and can track my Fantasy Football team Players live. My question now is with the emergence of the NFL Network’s Red Zone Channel – Do I really have the need to watch every football game or just the highlights? Let’s compare these options.  Let’s take a look at fans of out of market teams. I am a New Orleans Saints Fan. As I live in New England the local team here is the New England Patriots. I am aware I am in the minority. The Saints will be televised between 5 and 7 times nationally this year in addition to when they play New England, which will be broadcast locally.

This leaves approximately 9 games. With the Sunday Ticket priced at 0 that would be approximately 35 dollars per game to see the remainder…almost the price of a ticket to see them live if I lived in New

Detroit Lions Tickets And Seating Chart

If you’re a fan of the Detroit Lions you may already know that many seasons for this industrious team are marked by challenges, obstacles and hurdles to overcome. One thing that’s true about Detroit Lions fans, however, is that they understand all of the problems that their team faces and no matter what, the fans continue to support their team through the good, the bad and the indifferent times. Proof of their support comes often, such as the start of the season in weeks one and two when the Detroit Lions loss to the New Orleans saints (27-45) and the Minnesota Vikings (13-27).

A win over the Chicago Bears (48-24) was peppered in between and followed by a loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers (20-28) and a shutout by the Green Bay Packers (0-26). The losing streak continued but not for lack of effort. The Detroit Lions gave a valiant attempt against the Seattle Seahawks and Minnesota Vikings before turning the tables around and winning a game against the

Denver Broncos Tickets- Broncos Add Another Fullback

The Denver Broncos seemed to have a curse on their backfield this season as they have fallen one by one until the roster was all but depleted. In order to have in a chance at a running game, the Broncos have been searching around the league for unsigned backs. They added another with fullback Andrew Pinnock, a free agent who was released by San Diego earlier this year. This comes after Michael Pittman, Andrew Hall and Ryan Torain have all been placed on injured reserve and Selvin Young is out with a groin tear. It is not yet clear where Pinnock will fit on the depth chart. Currently, Peyton Hillis has the starting spot and is backed up by Spencer Larsen.

Pinnock sent his college years at South Carolina, where he had 422 carries for 1,852 yards and 27 touchdowns. The stats led to interest from the San Diego Chargers, who picked up Pinnock in the seventh round of the 2003 draft as the 229th pick overall. That first year, he played all 16 games on punt

Lake Monticallo Who Dats Travel To Superbowl

Lake Monticello “Who Dats” Travel to Miami for Super Bowl XLIV

The Who Dat Nation has captured the imagination of our country as the New Orleans Saints earned a spot in Super Bowl XLIV and defeated the Indianapolis Colts 31-17 . Lake Monticello residents Greg and Derek Domecq made the trip to Miami and were in Sun Life Stadium when the long-suffering Saints hoisted the Lombardi Trophy signifying the first-ever World Championship for the Crescent City.

“My mother (Irma) took me to my first Saints’ game in 1967 at Tulane Stadium when I was 10 years old. We were season ticket holders until I left New Orleans in 1988, and my mother and brother (Ed, who now lives in Houston) had their tickets until they lost everything, including their homes, during Hurricane Katrina in 2005,” said Greg Domecq. “It was particularly meaningful that I

10 Super Bowl Xliv Observations

Yes, I am a couple days late giving my Super Bowl comments. Forgive me, as I have been busy dealing with work and the 2010 blizzard. By now, everyone knows that Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints managed to beat Peyton Manning and the Colts, 31-17. But alas here they are, my 10 Super Bowl observations:

1. Tracy Porter (Saints cornerback) is my top defensive player for the playoffs. He not only intercepted Peyton Manning for a pick-6 to seal the victory in the Super Bowl, but he was also the same player who intercepted Brett Favre in the NFC Championship game to send it to overtime. And we all know how that played out.

2. As a Skins fan, I have to give props to Greg Williams’ defense. Williams found a way to hold the Colts potent offense to 17 points, and only 7 in the final 3 quarters. Not to mention the 7 points Porter added on. Don’t point out to me the fact that the Colts had 423 total yards, 110 more than the Saints. The Saints’ defense

American Football- Reggie Bush Undergoes Knee Surgery

Last Sunday was a day that the Saints will want to forget. They lost against the Carolina Panthers 30-7 and they also lost one of their key players due to a knee injury, the runner back Reggie Bush.

Apparently he made an extra effort with his knee while he was running on a punt return through the middle of Carolina’s field. He torn his meniscus on his left knee and the only way to repair it is through arthroscopic surgery to which he was submitted on Monday. The surgery was performed by Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Alabama.

The team doesn’t know yet for how much time exactly he is going to be sidelined since it depends on how the knee heals and how he responds to the treatment, but possibly it will take between two to four weeks. He also had some damage in his cartilage, which is known to be a problem that can take out a player for a very long time since it has happened before to other players, and this is why they can’t be sure of

Which Players in the NFL Draf will Make the Biggest Difference

Which Players in the NFL Draf will Make the Biggest Difference

April 29-30, 2006 live from New York City’s Radio City Music Hall, it’s one of the biggest events of the year! Is it the Rockettes? No. Maybe it’s that dreamed of Beatles reunion? No. Then it must be the latest country music awards show! Not at all.

It’s the one draft that won’t give you a chill. If anything, this draft sparks the beginning of the 2006-07 NFL season, and yet, there’s not one play run, one signal called, or one zebra in sight. It is the only non-sporting sports event of its kind-the NFL Draft.

It’s a time when fans that can never get enough football are glued to their televisions and computers, when college football players from around the country say an extra prayer or two, and when professional football coaches and general managers make decisions that can make or break their upcoming season.

Everyone is looking for that “impact” player-a guy who can make a big difference on a team in their initial season. Of the 32

Detroit Lions Tickets- Furrey Placed on Injured Reserve

As of week 13, the Detroit Lions are still winless with a record of 0-12. The team gets a chance to be in the spotlight every Thanksgiving when they host the traditional turkey day game, but unfortunately this year they were paired up with the league-leading Tennessee Titans. The result was that the Lions were stuffed more than the turkey, losing 47-10. The Lions got more bad news days after the game when the Lions chose to put wide receiver Mike Furrey on injured reserve after he suffered a concussion. To compensate for the loss, the Lions added wide receiver Keary Colbert to their roster. Fans are inevitably excited to see what Colbert can do and they can be a part of the Lions final stretch of the season by getting Detroit Lions tickets and other sporting event tickets from http://www.stubhub.com/detroit-lions-tickets.

Furrey went to college at Northern Iowa and had more than 1,000 yards in three different seasons there. He first joined the

Nfl Tickets – Overtime Rule Change A Positive Step

Nfl Tickets – Overtime Rule Change A Positive Step

The NFL owners have voted to alter the overtime rules concerning postseason play in what I believe to be a positive step in a league where change is not easy to come by.  The reason we don’t see significant changes such as this very often is that in making major alterations to league rules, you’re always running the risk of compromising the integrity of the game and angering the football purists.  However, I think the changes made to the overtime rules were necessary and well thought-out.

Per the new rules, if a team wins the overtime coin toss and kicks a field goal on the first possession the game is no longer over.  The other team will have an opportunity to match that field goal or win the game with a touchdown.  If the field goal is matched, play will continue in the familiar sudden-death setting.  If the field goal is not matched and a touchdown is not scored, the team that kicked the field goal on the first drive wins the game.  These rules only
